I decided to make my math “creative output” quite… interesting :P Hope you enjoy! :))
An Interesting Sight
Today is June 27, 2011 and at exactly 7:00pm, my brothers and I chanced upon something beautiful on our way home along Katipunan.
After leaving behind the Ateneo campus and moving towards UP’s, we see small flickering lights floating above the area. We drove on to get a closer look and the small lights in the sky turned out to be something similar to what I watched in the movie, Tangled.
They were candlelit lanterns.
We saw one slowly hovering down without its light and noticed the intricate design of the lantern that reminded me of the Chinese lanterns we made back in Xavier School for the Chinese Spring Festivals. Those were made of very thin red Japanese Paper but in the night sky, it didn’t matter what these lanterns were made of, only that their little light did make us look up.
(Question, who from UP knows what was happening during that time anyway?)
It may not seem like much, but sometimes it’s just nice to appreciate the little things that make us smile and just make every single day of our lives different, right?
:)
This song is called “For Mama” which is a simple piano instrumental I composed to show how I felt during a certain family experience.
Thanks to my friend who let me use his amazing synthesizer to record this.
Enjoy. :)
Day 01 - Introduce yourself.
I guess it took so long for me to start because despite getting this question time and time again, it’s quite difficult to answer. It’s interesting to think though that every time you get that same question, you always come out with a different answer. As of June 23, 2011, this would be my answer.
My name is Jose Enrique Fres Fausto and I study in the Ateneo de Manila University as a freshman. Right now I think I’m known to be the “music man” and there are a lot of reasons to think so. I do love dancing to music, making music through the guitar, piano, (attempted singing), and hopefully I’ll learn through the drums too. Even just listening to music calms me and makes me… happy. :)
Besides that, I LOVE sports. I’ve tried almost all the sports I can get into but the ones that really stuck to me are basketball, football, pingpong, and frisbee. :D For some reason, I have days wherein I just really feel the need to sweat it out with a fun physical activity. If not, I get that feeling that my day was “wasted” or simply bitin. I guess it also helps that I have a pretty crazy fast metabolism. Ask my friends, they know.
It’s funny how my “diet” works like this:
Eat for 1 person - Lose weight
Eat for 2 people - Maintain weight
Eat for 3 or more people - (Slightly/temporarily) Gain weight
Time and time again, my weight falls back to the same number no matter how hard I try @-). Many envy the fact that I can eat A LOT and not gain weight so I think I should be content.
From all that, I guess I can consider myself a pretty active person. Besides that, I’m really into joining different organizations like in church and school and am always willing to vie for leadership positions. I might not be the most upfront person but I do know a thing or two when it comes to organizing a group of people, delegating tasks and trying to see the “big picture” of everything. It helps too that (usually) I’m an energetic person who is game to do whatever to help the team or simply boost their spirits to go on with whatever we’re doing.
When asked to list down qualities, I sometimes have the audacity to write “friendly, patient, kind, good leader” and all that but when it all boils down to it, it’s your actions that define who you are. You can always know and say one thing but do an entirely different thing.
So If I may ask you, (if you’ve already “experienced” me), tell me, who am I?
